What the extension does

Home Widgets replaces Chrome's new tab page with a customizable page: clock, search, weather, prayer times, Hijri calendar, countdowns, verse of the day, shortcuts, a daily focus and a to-do list.

Data stored in your browser

Your settings, shortcuts, to-dos, daily focus, countdown events, chosen city and theme are stored with Chrome storage (synced through your Google account if Chrome sync is on). A background image you upload stays on your device. We never receive this data.

Data sent to third-party services

• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com): the city you search for, and the coordinates of the city you choose, to show the weather.
• Aladhan (aladhan.com): the coordinates of your chosen city and today's date, to calculate prayer times.
• Al Quran Cloud (alquran.cloud): a verse reference, to show the verse of the day.
• Bing (bing.com): a request for the daily photo, only if you turn on the daily photo background.
• Google: website icons for your shortcuts are loaded from Google's favicon service, and searches you type go to the search engine you pick.

These requests do not include your name, email or any identifier.

License check and usage counts

• Your Chrome profile email address: used only to check whether a lifetime license was purchased with that email. It is sent to our license server over HTTPS and is not used for anything else.
• Anonymous usage counts: a random install ID (not linked to you), the extension version and the license state (trial, paid or expired) are sent at most a few times a day, and we record the country your connection comes from (country only, no IP address is stored), so we can count active installs.

Our license server stores the email address used at checkout, the order ID and the purchase date, so the extension can unlock itself.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect browsing history, page content or the websites you visit, we use no third-party analytics or ads, and we do not sell or share any data.

Deleting your data

Email us at me@turki.tw to delete your license record. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
